Sitron’s LH850 Hydrostatic probes are designed for depth/level measurements in groundwater, deep wells, water towers, rivers, sewage treatment plants and other similar non-aggressive applications. They feature MEMS (Micro-Electro-Mechanical Systems) Technology, 316SS piezoresistive silicon chips, highly durable polyurethane vented cables and excellent long term stability. The LH850 has a 4-20 mA (2 wire) output signal and is fully temperature compensated.
Technology:
Hydrostatic Level Probes utilize the same pressure sensing technology as pressure transmitters; as hydrostatic pressure increases with the height of the water column, a displaced electrical charge accumulates on the opposing surface of the cell. This generates an output signal, which is converted to a standardized 4…20mA (2 wire), 1…5V or 0…5V (3 wire) signal that is directly proportional to the pressure applied.
